The Hotel Winklmoosalm impresses by its exposed location. It lies on a high plateau between Dürrnbachhorn and Kammerköhrplatte at 1,180 m, about 10 km away from Reit im Winkl. The view from the Sundeck towards the Loferer Steinberge is magnificent.

The extensive hiking trail network opens up in the fantastic area of Winklmoosalm (Bavaria) and the plateau continues over the border in the Austrian Tyrol. From "short-time-fresh-air sniffing" over cozy hikes to ambitious mountain tours everything is possible.
The ski-domain begins right outside the front door. It covers about 50 km of slopes of all difficulty levels and it’s perfect for beginners and for experienced skiers as well.
Reit im Winkl is situated in an idyllic valley which is open to the west and is surrounded by sheltering mountains in the south, east and north. This particular place is known as a ‘Snow-pit’ due to the frequent snowfall in the winter. Even though Reit im Winkl lies only 700 m above sea level it has reserved most of the snow falls in the Alps.
Geologically the hotel is located in the northern Limestone Alps. The surrounding mountains are part of the Bavarian Alps. The highest mountain is the Dürrnbachhorn at 1776 m above sea level.
The Hotel Winklmoosalm was completely refurbished and extended until the end of 2015. Our rooms offer superior quality with classic and timeless furniture.
